John Metzner Welcome to our Website. It serves to inform members of current activities
and provide information to potential new members. For those who don’t know our
Probus Club, we started when some members of Rotary in Kingston retired
and thought that they would like to continue with their lunches and speakers.
This was similar to other existing Probus Clubs and the idea has now spread
to about 5000 clubs world-wide with over 300,000 members. We are independent
of each other. Membership is open to retired or partially retired
professional and businessmen. Hence the name “Probus” |
Our activities consist of
two parts:
- A monthly
meeting every second Tuesday of the month at the Antoinette Hotel,
Kingston upon Thames, consisting of half an hour in the bar, luncheon
followed by a speaker on a topic of mutual interest.
- Visits
between monthly meetings to places of interest to members: theatres,
museums, sporting venues, stately homes, rambles etc.
